Denver, Colorado (May 3, 2025) Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton took his sixth win of the season to cut Cooper Webb’s championship points lead to nine with only one round remaining.

Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha’s Cooper Webb was in championship mode and didn’t put much of a retaliation when Sexton passed him for the lead. Webb finished second while his teammate Justin Cooper finished third.

Danger Boy Deegan headlined the Detroit Supercross with a controversial pass over his Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing Teammate Cole Davies for the win. The pass sent Davies over the backside of the berm during the latter part of the race which he led at one point over 4 seconds. He remounted on the bike and got back inside the track to finish 5th place.

With Davies finishing fifth and Deegan winning, the latter sealed his first career Supercross Championship! The fans at the Empower Field stadium were split into cheering and booing. The fans booed in unison when the video of the pass of Deegan over Davies was shown during the podium interview.

Red Bull KTM rider Julien Beumer capitalized on the crash of Davies and got second, followed by Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Garrett Marchbanks in third.
