Motocross potentials battled for the best on the onset of the 2014 MMF 15-leg D-Motocross Series at Mx Messiah Fairgrounds, Club Manila East.

MMF Loves Taytay Open Production champ Jojo Cochoco made a great bike lead from Jerich Farr and Lad Laurens Bucag to bag leg one’s Open Production and the second seat in the Open Underbone.

Nueva Ecija bet Ompong Gabriel assured the Kids Sr and Kids Jr after a tough run with Parañaque-based rider Jared Banaag as Ladies class winner Pia Gabriel knelt to him in the Kids Sr.

Roman Lorente took charge of the Executive class as Christopher Oberio gave a swift finish in the Open Local Enduro.

Meanwhile, multi-titled rider Glenn Aguilar with his son McLean supported the launch and shed their praises on giving aspirants a break and a gateway to step up.

“We need races like this because from here we will see future riders. The grassroot level is a place to hone production riders to professional ones,” said the 14th time Rider of the Year.

XAS CEO Samuel Mark Tamayo recalled the group’s mission statement where Filipino extreme sports athletes are molded to be game changers for excellence and not just for mediocre performance.

“We are here to glorify God through the sport. And every motocross aspirant is part of this vision, that’s why we are helping them to grow too,” said Tamayo, also a youth pastor at Generation Congregation.
